Before digital entered the world, there was film. Our parents always took pictures of us with their 35mm cameras as we grew up and naturally our interest in photography developed. When we first picked up a Pentax K1000 SRL 35mm camera in 2003, film based photography was still the most relevant way to take a photo. 35mm photography taught us some very valuable lessons that have carried over into our filmmaking. When we only had 24 chances to take a picture, we quickly learned the significance of composing and framing a shot, lighting and all it’s many qualities, and most importantly, training our eyes to see the world differently through the lens of a camera. Below are some of our favorite images captured on film throughout the years.
